Ashley Murphree is a mechanical engineer, licensed in california and colorado, and is the founder of Alchemech Engineering - a residential HVAC and plumbing engineering consultancy focused on healthy and off-grid-ready designs through a holistic approach. She is a Certified Passive House Tradesperson and also formerly Co-Founded and operated the design/build general contracting company Good Bones Design Build in Marin County, California. She spent decades investigating and healing her chronic health symptoms through functional medicine, testing, and applying forensics to her life in real time. She once lived and worked in the warehouse district of Oakland, California where her and her partner built their passive-house-inspired shipping container home that they now live in off-grid in the mountains.
