✔️New imagery thanks to the lovely @freeenergycollective

I thought it’d be fun to share a little background on why we chose the imagery that we did for the brand (and why we love disco balls 🙃)

A common theme throughout the imagery is a play on light.

✨Light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, something we talk a lot about here at Awakening Spaces.

✨The disco ball allowed us to disperse the light and play around with light and dark. Not to mention, it reminds of us of THRIVING!

✨Light has a characteristic of optimism, playfulness, energy, and spirituality. Its a reminder that we're here to offer hope. Hope of healing, hope of safety, and hope of a brighter future.

✨Spiritually speaking, The path toward the light is the path toward Awakening. Awakening all of the spaces within and around.

@hallemadeleine did a beautiful job bringing our vision to life for what we want the essence of Awakening Spaces to be and how we want it to feel for you.

✨A healthy home is only the vessel for you to find your own light and spread your light to others.

⚡️⚡️We also launched the first edition of the Monthly Awakener last month! ⚡️⚡️

Mold prevention 101: Avoid water from infiltratin Mold prevention 101:

Avoid water from infiltrating the home.

When we leave for a long trip, its a good idea to turn the main water off to the house.

The last thing that we want is to have a water loss event while we’re not home to stop it!

Especially in the winter months, If the pipes were to freeze, you could end up with a flood in your home and might not be there to stop the flow of water.

Do you know know where to access your main water shut off valve in case something were to happen?

If not, use this as an opportunity to learn where this is as it could save you thousands in damages and repairs.

Not to mention the heartbreak associated with health issues that may stem from mold and bacteria growth. ❤️

There’s nothing better than having a professiona There’s nothing better than having a professional come in and evaluate your home for EMFs.

With all homes there are so many nuances that go beyond turning off your Wi-Fi, and since these frequencies are invisible to us, it takes a lot of equipment to properly measure.

But if you’re looking to make some quick changes, these are some great purchases to start limiting your exposure or share with someone you love!

Bathrooms are important when it comes to mold prev Bathrooms are important when it comes to mold prevention.

The best thing you can do to prevent moisture from creating mold, is to dry everything down with a towel when you’re done: floors, shower walls, sink counters, etc.

However, I get that it can be a real chore to keep things dry.

These items are the next best thing and can be a great gift for your loved ones looking to keep things clean, dry, and mold free.

We will add links to these products in our stories and save them to a “Products” highlight.

I promise I’m not the grinch… Christmas Trees I promise I’m not the grinch…

Christmas Trees (Real and Artificial) can pose threats to our health.

Let’s break them down:

ARTIFICIAL TREES
🎄These contain toxins like PVC (some replaced PVC replaced with PET and PEVA but still not great), lead, phthalates, and flame retardants.
🎄 these chemicals can off-gas as VOCs and SVOCs meaning we will breath them in or they will land in our dust where we will ingest or absorb them through the skin.
🎄These chemicals can cause endocrine disruption, specifically thyroid issues!
🎄If you have an older tree, its less likely to off-gas, but I would make sure to use gloves and give it a good wipe with soap and water before putting it up.
🎄Storage can pose mold problems. Store the tree in a climate controlled area and avoid putting it back in its cardboard box to store it!
🎄Someone would make a killing starting a non-toxic Christmas tree business! IKEA has the best artificial trees I’ve found so far - it’s not easy to find a nontoxic artificial tree!

REAL TREES
🎄Real trees are heavily sprayed with pesticides, it’s super important to find a farmer who doesn’t spray.
🎄Mold is a bigger issue with real Christmas trees. If you’re mold sensitive or dealing with mold illness - I would avoid them all together.
🎄Cutting a tree down from the forest may have sap, molds, and pollen on it, so it’s a good idea to spray the tree down outside using a white vinegar disinfectant and let it dry before brining it in.
🎄The longer the tree is in the home the more likely for mold to grow. Keep the tree for 4-7 days max to limit exposure.
🎄Keep your home clean and run an air purifier to help keep the indoor air clean!

There are some great Christmas Tree alternatives out there as well! Keep an eye out for a post on those soon.

If you celebrate Christmas, how are you decorating this year? Do you do a real tree, artificial, or Alternative tree?!
